Addition of James J. Odell; Standards Chairperson and
Noted Agent Technology Expert to Lead Company's

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(CCNMatthews - Feb 28, 2005) -

Agentis Software today announced the appointment of James J. Odell as
senior director, multiagent technology and standards. Mr. Odell is a
respected consultant, author and educator in agent-based and
object-oriented systems. At Agentis, he will be responsible for driving
the strategy, vision, and roadmap of the company's rapid development and
maintenance of complex business systems. Odell brings more than 30 years
of experience in applying agent-based and object-oriented techniques to
build process-aware business systems.

In his thirty-year career, Mr. Odell has been heavily involved in
developing better methods to understand, communicate, build and manage
business solutions. Prior to Agentis, Jim served as a consultant,
writer, and educator in the use of agent technology to create and
maintain complex adaptive systems. Formerly, he was the principal
consultant for KnowledgeWare, Inc. where he pioneered and taught the
concepts of data modeling, information strategy planning, and CASE
technology. Working with the OMG and other major methodologists, he
continues to innovate and improve agent technology methods and
techniques.

Mr. Odell is on the board of the Foundation for Intelligent Physical
Agents (FIPA) and the chair of its Modeling Technical Committee. He is
also the chair of the Object Management Group's (OMG) Analysis and
Design "UML" Taskforce and the Agents Special Interest Group. Mr. Odell
conducts international seminars and workshops -- both on-site and public
-- and has provided consulting to major companies worldwide. He has
co-authored books with James Martin entitled Object-Oriented Analysis
and Design (1992); Object-Oriented Methods: Pragmatic Considerations
(1996); and Object-Oriented Methods: A Foundation, UML Edition (1998)
published by Prentice-Hall. Additionally, he writes for the Journal of
Object-Oriented Technology (JOT), the Journal of Software and Systems
Modeling and the Cutter Consortium.
