AgilePath Announces HUBZone Certification

Haverhill, MA HUBZone Provides Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Consulting Services

NEWBURYPORT, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 2, 2007 -- AgilePath Corporation, a leading service-oriented architecture (SOA) management and technology consulting firm, announced the approval of its Haverhill, Massachusetts office by the US Small Business Administration (SBA) as a "qualified HUBZone small business concern(SBC)." This certification makes AgilePath eligible for HUBZone contracting opportunities with the Federal Government. AgilePath Federal Systems is the first company in Haverhill, Massachusetts to achieve HUBZone certification by the SBA.

Congressman Marty Meehan, who has worked closely with federal, state, and city officials to spur economic growth in the City of Haverhill, was honored to help AgilePath secure this HUBZone certification. "This approval is great news for AgilePath and the City of Haverhill," said Meehan. "The SBA's HUBZone was designed to promote economic and employment growth and this certification will allow AgilePath to expand its contracting opportunities and continue to grow its business."

AgilePath Federal Systems was founded in July of 2006 to focus on providing service-oriented architecture (SOA) management consulting and technology services to its Federal Government and Department of Defense clients who are aggressively adopting SOA. AgilePath clients include the United States Air Force, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

"AgilePath Federal Systems is excited to receive SBA HubZone certification for our Haverhill, MA headquarter," stated Eric Marks, President and CEO of AgilePath. "AgilePath Federal Systems is the centerpiece of AgilePath's strategy to provide Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) strategy, architecture and implementation services to the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and Civilian government agencies."

"Our ability to support our clients such as Air Force, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and others will benefit significantly from our HubZone certification," said Marks. "This in turn will support job creation in Massachusetts, as well as accelerate our desire to create a Haverhill-based center for SOA research and implementation expertise focused on the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community."

AgilePath is an innovative SOA consulting firm that pioneered the vendor-neutral, business-focused approach to service-oriented architecture (SOA) based on AgilePath CEO Eric Marks's book "Executive's Guide to Web Services" (2003, Wiley). Marks's most recent SOA book, "SOA: A Planning and Implementation Guide for Business and Technology" (Marks and Bell, 2006), has become a top-selling SOA book on, in part because of its comprehensive industry-leading coverage of SOA governance. AgilePath CEO Eric Marks has just begun work on a new book focused entirely on SOA Governance. This is Marks's third SOA book, and will be released in 2007.
