Agility Recovery Solutions Prepares for Safety

Business Preparedness Continuity Firm Joins the U.S. National Preparedness Month Effort

CHARLOTTE, NC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 22, 2005 -- North Carolina-based Agility Recovery Solutions (Agility) announced today that they will participate in Homeland Security's September initiative, National Preparedness Month.

Established in 2004, National Preparedness Month offers Americans the chance to receive educational training for handling threats and disasters. Americans have the opportunity to acquire emergency supply kits, are encouraged to create family communications plans, and are trained in threat awareness concerning the multitudes of potential challenges a disaster could direct at communities of all sizes. It also provides several opportunities for volunteering, getting first aid instruction, and CPR training.

This common sense framework of events is designed to launch a multi-tiered culture of business preparedness. For the month-long effort, state and local governments around the country, individual communities, private businesses and nonprofit organizations will host events or promote preparedness. General information about the partners and events can be found at: and

Agility Recovery Solutions brings their experience in business continuity planning and disaster recovery to their partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the American Red Cross, and the network of businesses, institutions, and community groups. Agility's core values make it a natural partner in educating businesses on common sense emergency measures.

"Showing the ways that a business can plan for disasters and stave off a prolonged business interruption is a key element of our professional solutions," said Agility CEO Bob Boyd, "When an emergency occurs, our greatest defense is preparedness. Developing a disaster recovery plan and identifying preparedness and response resources within our communities are several things we can do to prepare ourselves today."

Every Wednesday during National Preparedness Month, Agility will host appropriately themed "webinars" web seminars entitled, "Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning Made Simple," the goal of the series is to help businesses diagram plans for coping with a potential business interruption and worst case scenarios: These educational seminars are open to all businesses as well as the general public. Boyd echoes the Department of Homeland Security by acknowledging that it is impossible to predict all potential threats. He says that while Agility, "...take[s] steps as an organization everyday to educate, train and better prepare some of our country's finest businesses," his staff and he, "...urges all Americans to take time this month to do the same at home." He adds that there are many "simple steps" that will better secure most homes and businesses.
