AGRIS Co-operative Continues Support of Agriculture and Youth

RIDGETOWN, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 1, 2006) - As completion draws near for the new Rudy H. Brown Rural Development Centre at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus, dignitaries were on hand yesterday to celebrate the new electronic scoreboard being installed in the campus gymnasium. The new gymnasium is just part of the overall 30,000- square foot, $7.2 million expansion for the Ridgetown Campus. The new electronic scoreboard was sponsored by AGRIS Co-operative Ltd., in its continuing support of agriculture and youth in South-West Ontario. Previously AGRIS Co-operative donated $30,000 that was part of a total $50,000 that Ontario Agricultural Co-operatives committed to the expansion at the Ridgetown Campus.

"We are proud to continue our support of Ridgetown Campus and its students who will be the leader's of agriculture in the future", says Kim Fysh, AGRIS Board President.
