AGRIS Co-operative Donates Property to Comber Agricultural Society

CHATHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2011) - AGRIS Co-operative Ltd. board president Larry Pajot is pleased to announce today that an agreement has been reached to donate property owned by AGRIS located in Comber, Ontario to the Comber Agricultural Society.

The property located on 77 highway in Comber has become available as grain storage facilities became consolidated to other larger collection points better suited geographically for farmers. Robert Hornick, president of the Comber Agricultural Society has indicated that initial plans are to use the property during the Comber Agricultural Fair each year.

"AGRIS Co-operative is celebrating our 90th year of serving agriculture and our farmer-owners in 2011 and it's extremely rewarding for us to be able to donate this property to the Comber Agricultural Society and keep it for agricultural use," says Larry Pajot.

The Comber Agricultural Society established in 1859, shows a long proud history and itself started as a co-operative, selling hybrid seed, providing pure bred beef and swine to its members. "We are very grateful to AGRIS Co-operative and their donation of their Comber property to our Agricultural Society," says Robert Hornick.
