AhnLab's Presents Session on Stopping Malware to Protect Digital Assets at IANS Boston Information Security Forum

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 17, 2013) - AhnLab, a leading provider of information security products for enterprise business environments, today announced that they will be attending the IANS Boston Information Security Forum as a silver sponsor. The forum is September 25-26 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Tom Hance, vice president, will be representing AhnLab at the forum.

The Boston Information Security Forum brings together experienced IT and information security practitioners for confidential information sharing on the industry's most important security related issues, technologies, and trends. The two-day Forum includes keynote addresses, technical and strategic roundtable discussions led by IANS' Faculty, networking events, and an opportunity to learn about new security technologies.

AhnLab will be participating in Technology Sessions both days of the event, in the morning on September 25 and the afternoon, September 26.

"Advanced Malware and APTs represent some of the greatest threats to corporate security today," said Hance. "The resulting financial and corporate reputation loss caused by malware can be devastating... it's critical for C-level executives to take these security threats seriously and make sound technology decisions to stop corporate espionage, protect their organization's intellectual property, defend their customers confidential information, and move past event detection to real-time protection by stopping online criminal malware dead."

Launched in North America earlier this year, the AhnLab Malware Defense System (MDS) is the only 3rd Generation protection platform available to protect organizations today. AhnLab 3rd Generation technology combines network, end-point, and big data analytics to protect organizations from dangerous malware. Third generation protection leverages the power of signature-less network analysis for file, email and web traffic and is integrated with real-time end-point protection and big-data analytics to stop zero-hour, targeted and encrypted threats on desktops, laptops and servers anywhere on the network.

Hance is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AhnLab. He has more than 25 years of experience building innovative, industry-leading technology companies such as Sophos, Fortinet, Juniper, NetScreen, Alcatel, and Rockwell International. Prior to AhnLab, Tom served as vice president of sales at Lastline, Inc. and previously co-founded and served as CEO of GovAssure, a federally focused network security systems integration company.
