AIA Selects SecureAlert as Preferred Vendor of GPS Tracking and Monitoring Devices

SANDY, UT--(Marketwire - March 4, 2008) - Allegheny Casualty Company, International Fidelity Insurance Company, and Associated Bond ("AIA"), representing the largest network of bail agents in the U.S., has selected Utah-based SecureAlert for a new preferred vendor program. SecureAlert, a subsidiary of RemoteMDx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMDX), is a national leader in tracking and monitoring criminal offenders through GPS-enabled technologies.

"After conducting extensive research and carefully evaluating providers and manufacturers of GPS/EM devices, AIA is convinced that a bail bond is the most secure way of assuring a defendant's reappearance in court. However, the utilization of GPS/EM devices, in certain cases, may help to further insulate a bail agent and surety from risk of flight on a bail bond," AIA President and CEO Brian N. Nairin expressed in a letter to AIA agents.

"We have arranged for our agents to have exclusive access to GPS/EM devices and services through SecureAlert and Quest Guard. SecureAlert is the top GPS/EM solutions provider to the criminal justice system and Quest Guard is a distributor of the GPS/EM products of SecureAlert. AIA has successfully negotiated an exclusive Preferred Vendor Program for our agents," continued Nairin. The program is being offered to all AIA agents as a value-added service option.

"SecureAlert is proud to be offering these services to AIA agents through the Preferred Vendor Program. And, through Quest Guard, SecureAlert is offering a complete service package which eliminates most of the work of traditional GPS Monitoring Programs," said Bryan Dalton, Vice President of Sales at SecureAlert.

Among the services provided by SecureAlert is access to their state-of-the-art monitoring facility which is staffed 24/7/365. Facility staff will notify agents immediately, according to their specific instructions, of any violation by their customer. Agents also have access to monitor their customers through SecureAlert's website.

Additional services of SecureAlert included is the delivery of date reminders to defendants on or prior to days of required court appearances. The SecureAlert monitoring center can also secure a verbal commitment to appear from the defendant. These features help to ensure compliance with Court rules and Bail stipulations, supporting timely appearances and follow-up between the defendant and the bail agent. The great news is that all communications and reminders can be handled by SecureAlert directly through the monitoring device itself, supporting convenient two-way communication at all times (where cell service is available).
