AIC Limited and Copernican Capital Corp. Announce Special, Monthly and Quarterly Distributions on TSX-Listed Funds

BURLINGTON, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 15, 2006) - AIC Limited and Copernican Capital Corp. (TSX:ADC)(TSX:ASC)(TSX:GBP.UN)(TSX:FIT.UN)(TSX:CIW.UN)(TSX:CBK.UN)(TSX:CBW) today jointly announced that they will pay tax efficient distributions to Unitholders in their respective closed-end funds on January 15, 2007.

SPECIAL CAPITAL GAINS DISTRIBUTIONS

Investors who hold Global Banks Premium Income Trust (TSX: GBP.UN) and International Financial Income and Growth Trust (TSX: FIT.UN), as at December 29, 2006, will receive a special capital gains distribution on January 15, 2007, in the aggregate amount of approximately $0.05833 per unit. Investors who hold the Copernican World Financial Infrastructure Trust (TSX: CIW.UN) as at December 29, 2006, will receive a special capital gains distribution of approximately $0.0417 per Unit payable on January 15, 2007.

AIC Global Financial Split Corp. further announced on December 1, 2006 that it intends to pay a special distribution in February 2007 to Class A Shareholders of record on January 31, 2007 in the aggregate amount of approximately $383,425, or $0.25 per Class A Share, based on the anticipated number of outstanding Class A Shares on the Record Date. The actual amount of the special capital gains distribution will be announced by way of press release on or about January 9, 2007. The actual per Class A Share amount of the special capital gains distribution will be announced following the completion of the rights offering.

MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY DISTRIBUTIONS

Investors who hold the following closed-end funds as at December 29, 2006, will also receive monthly distributions payable on January 15, 2007 of $0.05833 per unit of Global Banks Premium Income Trust (TSX:GBP.UN) and International Financial Income and Growth Trust (TSX:FIT.UN). Investors who hold Copernican World Financial Infrastructure Trust (TSX:CIW.UN) as at December 29, 2006 will also receive a monthly distribution of 0.0417 per Unit payable on January 15, 2007.

Investors who hold Copernican World Banks Income and Growth Trust (TSX: CBW.UN) as at December 29, 2006 will receive a monthly distribution of $0.05833 per unit payable on January 15, 2007. Shareholders of Copernican World Banks Split Inc. (TSX: CBW and CBW.PR.A) as at December 29, 2006 will receive a quarterly cash distribution in the amount of $0.070137 per Class A Share and $0.046027 per Preferred Share of the Corporation payable January 11, 2007.

AIC Global Financial Split Corp. (TSX: ASC and ASC.PR.A) announced today that a monthly cash distribution in the amount of $0.10 per Class A Share and a quarterly cash distribution in the amount of $0.13125 per Preferred Share of the Corporation will be paid on January 11, 2007 to Class A Shareholders and Preferred Shareholders of record as of December 29, 2006.
