AIDS Calgary Awareness Association presents the 2012 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 10, 2012) - AIDS Calgary Awareness Association (ACAA) presents the 2012 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life on September 23, 2012 at Eau Claire Plaza. The goal of the Walk is to raise funds for ACAA's support, prevention, and education programs for those affected by, at risk for, or living with HIV/AIDS. On September 23rd, an estimated 700 Calgarians - walkers, volunteers, entertainers, and sponsors- will unite in an effort to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS and to raise funds in support of ACAA programs. ACAA Executive Director, Susan Cress believes, "The Walk provides an excellent opportunity for us to renew our commitment of HIV/AIDS prevention and support in our communities. The walk is a time to bring people together to celebrate courage and life. Thank you Calgary for your support!" As ACAA enters into its 30th year of operation, the Walk becomes imperative to those who rely on ACAA's services and programs.

ACAA is pleased to welcome Citytv's Andrew Schultz and Up97.7's Susan Knight as the hosts of this year's Walk. Walk entertainment will include Studio Bollywood iDance, World Pak Mei Hup Ging Do Martial Arts, The Bad Girls Club Street Team, and many more local performers.

The 2012 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life promises to be our best yet. Pastries and coffee provided by Starbucks will open the event, with lunch provided by Sorrenti's Catering.
