Air Liquide Canada Celebrates Earth Day

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - April 11, 2007) - Air Liquide Canada, a leader in industrial, medical, and specialty gases and related services, is celebrating Earth Day by sponsoring Jour de la Terre Quebec, a non-profit organization whose goal is protecting and preserving the environment.

Magdy Meimari, Air Liquide's General Manager for Business Development, will be speaking today at the launch of this year's Earth Day at the Centre Canadien d'Architecture. "I am proud to represent Air Liquide's engineers, scientists, researchers and business developers in Canada and around the globe who work non-stop at inventing industrial gas applications for cleaner manufacturing processes. Innovative solutions using oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and even carbon dioxide are very frequently the catalyst to reduced-pollution methods for making countless products we use every day," he said.

Luc Doyon, Air Liquide Canada's president and C.O.O. added: "We have been marking Earth Day since 2003 to demonstrate our commitment the Air Liquide Group's core value of sustainable development. We promote environmental awareness through activities such as tree-planting and we are pleased to work with Jour de la Terre Quebec and their partners in finding meaningful ways to contribute to environmental preservation."
