Airdrie Dental Practice Using New Scanner to Improve Patient Health

AIRDRIE, AB--(Marketwired - Sep 2, 2015) - Dr. Aaron Mckee of Nose Creek Dental Centre is happy to announce that his staff recently finished additional training on the use of their new iTero Scanner.

"The iTero Scanner is a great new addition to our practice," Dr. Mckee said. "The patients who are interested in straightening their teeth with Invisalign® love it."

The scanner is used to ensure that the Invisalign trays are the exact size and that the entire procedure is as simple as possible. The advanced wand technology allows Dr. McKee and his team to scan patients' mouth with color results on screen. In addition, iTero is capable of simulating end results to show patients what their teeth will look like once the Invisalign® treatment process is complete.

"That's what patients like the best -- when they get to see what their beautiful new smile will look like," Dr. Mckee said. "It's like taking a look into the future."

While primarily used for Invisalign®, the doctors at Nose Creek have also been trained to utilize it in other areas.

"We've all learned how to use iTero in other dental procedures," Dr. McKee added. "These include splints as well as some crowns. The wand is a useful tool that is easy to use and comfortable process that can help improve the long-term oral health of our patients."
