AirIQ Announces Agreement with Cingular Wireless for Digital Location-Based Services

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 9, 2005) -

Strong GSM/GPRS Coverage Supports Aggressive United States Subscriber Acquisition

AirIQ Inc. (TSX:IQ), a leader in Global Wireless Security through Telematics services, announces the launch of its digital wireless solution for location-based services, enabled by a data resale agreement with Cingular Wireless, the largest wireless carrier in the United States. Certain versions of AirIQ products and services are available now with all further terrestrial products to be available by the start of 2006 on the Cingular nationwide(1) GSM/GPRS network, which is available in 13,000 cities and towns and along nearly 40,000 miles of major highways in the U.S.. AirIQ clients will benefit from the ability to send and receive more information, measured in both frequency and volume.

"GSM technology enhances the Company's location-based services across all markets and geographies, and positions the AirIQ services for aggressive international expansion in both the vehicular and personal tracking markets," explains Donald Simmonds, President and CEO of AirIQ. "The agreement with Cingular adds the GSM platform in the United States, in addition to our previously announced deployment plans in Mexico. Cingular's digital service will support our aggressive subscriber acquisition plans and we look forward to the mutual benefits arising from such a strong alliance for years to come."

"All of the required engineering, testing and GSM regulatory certifications have been completed and AirIQ's digital solution is working well," says Dan Seto, Vice President, Technology Planning for AirIQ. "Cingular offers a powerful wireless service to business and consumer sectors, making it a perfect fit with our strategic technology initiatives."

General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) enables the data component of GSM. GPRS offers reliable connectivity with efficiency, making GSM suitable for Telematics services. GPRS enabled networks offer 'always-on', higher capacity, Internet-based content and packet-based data services, making it ideal for AirIQ's customers with larger messaging needs.
