LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 4, 2005 -- AirTight Networks, the leading provider of Wi-Fi IPS (WIPS) Firewalls, has announced that its new SpectraGuard Enterprise 3.0 will provide its wireless security solution for the InteropNet eNet, the event network that provides the infrastructure and services to all exhibitors, conferences and meeting rooms at Interop® 2005, which will be held from May 1-6 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. SpectraGuard Enterprise 3.0 is the industry's first Wi-Fi IPS Firewall to integrate automatic device classification and intrusion prevention, pinpoint location tracking and real-time RF mapping.

AirTight Networks' SpectraGuard Enterprise 3.0 is integral to the wireless network for several key reasons including the ability to lock down the authorized Interop® wireless network, detect and prevent multiple threats simultaneously, prevent unauthorized activity such as rogue APs and denial of service attacks without impacting the authorized Interop® or exhibitor wireless networks, and provide pinpoint location tracking of any device determined to be a threat.

AirTight Networks' SpectraGuard Enterprise 3.0 delivers a broad range of unique capabilities for wireless intrusion protection including simultaneous detection and prevention of multiple threats from a single sensor, as well as comprehensive threat prevention including updates to counter the most serious attacks -- MAC spoofing APs, Evil Twin/honey pot APs and Denial of Service threats. SpectraGuard Enterprise also guards against rogue access points, mis-configured access points, ad hoc connections, unauthorized client connections, and client mis-associations.

"Interop, with its myriad of participants and devices hooking into the wireless network, demonstrates the robustness and scalability for our SpectraGuard technology," said David King, Chairman and CEO at AirTight Networks. "The system's accurate device classification will cut down on false alarms -- and Interop® operators will be able to immediately locate offenders on the floor plan with the system's accurate location tracking capabilities."

SpectraGuard 3.0 simultaneously detects and prevents not just one, but multiple threats from all major classes of Wi-Fi vulnerabilities. The system continues scanning for additional threats to the network even while it is preventing an in-progress attack -- all without disrupting authorized Wi-Fi communication or neighbor networks.

SpectraGuard's unmatched auto-classification technology locks down the Wi-Fi network to ensure that no unauthorized devices, even one mimicking authorized device settings, can gain access to the network. The system uses patent-pending auto-classification technology that identifies all Wi-Fi devices. True threats are consistently identified, while avoiding irritating false positives from nearby shared Wi-Fi networks.

"The Interop® eNet is a cutting-edge network built in collaboration with vendors that put their products to the test of the ultimate networking challenge," said Lenny Heymann, Interop® General Manager. "Our exhibitors and attendees depend on this network to connect with anything at the show and the outside world. Participants such as AirTight Networks are valuable contributors to the innovation and expertise of the eNet for the benefit of our attendees."

Interop® 2005, which is in its 20th year, hosts over 375 vendors, and over 17,500 attendees. The SpectraGuard Enterprise 3.0 system that Interop® is using will protect over 100 access points using 27 sensors and two servers. The dual-server configuration leverages SpectraGuard's high availability option to create redundancy and ensure constant uptime.
