AirTight Networks to Host Free Educational Seminar Series in Six Major Cities

Leading WIPS Vendor Educates Customers About Top Security Threats to Enterprise Wireless Networks

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 19, 2006 -- AirTight Networks™, the leading provider of wireless intrusion prevention and performance management solutions, has launched a seminar road show to educate customers about the most prevalent threats to enterprise wireless networks. This free seminar, titled "There's Wireless in the Air," will be offered in six major U.S. cities (including Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, Dallas, and San Francisco) throughout October.

The program will outline the top three wireless risks to the corporate enterprise and discuss the top strategies that companies should be using to safeguard their data. The seminar will explore the trends and developments in the wireless security industry and demonstrate how these developments can effect both the wired and wireless enterprise network infrastructure, as well as enterprise security.

At some locations, AirTight will conduct live demonstrations where attendees will learn about the wireless device driver hack demonstrated at the BlackHat USA 2006 conference in Las Vegas last month and the risk it poses to the enterprise. Students and attendees will also learn how they can address all of these emerging concerns using a wireless intrusion prevention system as well as how to justify the investment.

By the end of the seminar, each attendee will know:

-- the three wireless security policy questions every organization must
-- the three most common wireless hacks/threats facing enterprises today
-- the three reasons why any organization that wants to end wireless
threats needs a wireless intrusion prevention system
-- the three most common ways of justifying an investment in a wireless
    intrusion prevention system
The seminar series will be kicked off by industry veterans Howard Schmidt and Lisa Phifer. Howard will appear in Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C., and Lisa Phifer will present at all six locations.

Schmidt has over 30 years of distinguished service in the information security industry, including his time as Chief Security Officer for both eBay and Microsoft Corporation. In addition, he was chosen to be Vice Chair of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board. Howard's background also includes service with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Computer Forensic Lab and Computer Crime and Information Warfare (HQ AFOSI/CCI) and the FBI National Drug Intelligence Center (NDIC). Schmidt will be presenting in Chicago, New York City and Washington D.C.

Phifer has been involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of data communications, internetworking, security, and network management products for over 20 years. As vice president of Core Competence, she has advised companies large and small regarding security needs, product assessment, and the use of emerging technologies and best practices. Phifer was also a recipient of a Bellcore President's Award for her work on ATM Network Management. As a writer and a teacher, she has extensive knowledge about wireless LANs, mobile security, and virtual private networking.

Attendees will have the opportunity to win an AirTight Sentry -- a SOHO/ROBO wireless intrusion prevention system which protects home networks and personal data from nosey neighbors. Each participant that pre-registers and attends the seminar will also receive a ten percent discount on any AirTight Networks equipment purchased in the fourth quarter of 2006, as well as a discount on CWNP wireless certification sponsored by Security University.

Space is limited, so register today. For more details on times and locations or to register for the seminar, visit at
