AirTight Study Reveals Extent of Wireless Vulnerabilities Present in the Enterprise; Results Presented at RSA 2011

Session Reveals First Empirical Analysis of the Enterprise Wireless Threat Space Based on Actual Deployments

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - February 15, 2011) - AirTight® Networks, the global leader in wireless intrusion prevention (WIPS) and compliance products and services, announced today that Gopinath K. N., Director of Engineering at AirTight, will present the results of a study conducted by AirTight on wireless vulnerabilities present in enterprise environments at the RSA 2011 in San Francisco this week.

The session, titled, "Wireless Vulnerabilities in the Wild: View from the Trenches," presents empirical data that provides insights into the degree to which knowledge of wireless threats in an enterprise is still lacking. This session reveals the first empirical analysis of the enterprise wireless threat space based on actual customer deployments. The session is scheduled for Thursday, February 17, at 1:00 P.M in Red Room 102.

RSA has posted a short podcast with Gopinath about the session on the Conference Website for attendees who are interested in previewing the content.

"Attendees at the session will become familiar with the various types of wireless vulnerabilities (wireless intrusions, extrusions and service disruption attacks), the underlying theory and how they manifest in real life. They will learn why an 'it will not happen to me' attitude towards wireless security is not going to work," said Gopinath.
