Airwave Wireless Announces Airwave Wireless Management Suite 6

New Software Runs Multi-Vendor Wireless LAN at Interop Las Vegas 2008

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - April 28, 2008) - AirWave Wireless, a global leader in vendor-neutral wireless network management solutions, today announced the release of AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6. The new management suite delivers significant new features for the Help Desk, management of 802.11n networks, monitoring of wired networks, and viewing tens of thousands of wireless devices from a single console. A finalist for InformationWeek's Best of Interop 2008 network management award, AirWave Suite 6 is being used to manage the multi-vendor wireless LAN at Interop Las Vegas 2008. Interop Las Vegas, the leading business technology event in North America, is taking place April 27-May 2 at the Mandalay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The new AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6 software enhances the award-winning AirWave platform with new features for large and fast-growing wireless networks. These features include:

-- 802.11n Management: Supports new 802.11n products from leading
    hardware providers, enabling the management of next-generation
    infrastructure from the same console used for the legacy wireless LAN;

-- Wired and Wireless LAN Monitoring: Enhanced monitoring of routers,
    switches, authentication servers, and existing management servers to
    facilitate comprehensive network analysis and more accurate diagnostics;

-- Dedicated Help Desk Views and Incident Management: Provides the Level
    One and Level Two Help Desk with automated diagnostics and the detailed
    information required to resolve end-user issues quickly and without
    escalation. Integrates with leading service desk solutions for seamless
    incident tracking and resolution;

-- Enhanced AirWave Master Console: Provides centralized control and
    visibility for wireless networks with tens of thousands of wireless
    devices, whether on a single campus or distributed across the globe;

-- Intelligent Capacity Planning: Offers a full set of reports and
    monitoring views to determine where the wireless network is approaching
    capacity so expansion can be managed intelligently and cost-effectively.

"The new AirWave software offers intelligent lifecycle management for wireless networks, providing a smooth migration path from legacy networks to 802.11n," said Greg Murphy, AirWave's general manager. "Instead of forcing customers to rip-and-replace their legacy network, they can instead add 802.11n on a schedule that meets their logistical and budgetary requirements. Many of the other new features in AirWave 6 are similarly designed to lower IT operating costs by enabling automated diagnostics, faster problem resolution, and greater visibility into both the wireless and wired networks."

The AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6 is a finalist for InformationWeek's Best of Interop 2008 award. The software is available now and will be on demonstration in both the AirWave Wireless and Aruba Networks booths, 1581 and 1262, respectively, at Interop Las Vegas. The upgrade is available at no cost for existing AirWave customers enrolled in a support plan.
