AIVN Nevada Mines Update

WINNEMUCCA, NV--(Marketwire - Aug 21, 2012) - American International Ventures, Inc. (OTCBB: AIVN) (OTCQB: AIVN) is continuing the development and construction of its offices, camp, and plant installation at its 704 patented acre Golden Eagle Mine extensions. AIVN recently hired AMEC to obtain its water pollution permits from the State of Nevada, consistent with its plans to operate a full scale mining operation at the site capable of producing 250 tons per hour.

Tucker White, President of AIVN stated: "We have tons of work to do just developing and constructing our Golden Eagle site before mining can begin. We have taken delivery so far of our Cedar Rapids crusher, Power Screen grizzly and trommel, John Deere dozer, Cat 345BL excavator, two 4000 gallon water trucks, dump trucks, Cat 953 crawler excavator/loader, Cat 988 rubber tire loader, 12 x 60 office trailer, 2800 gallon fuel tanker, utility truck, generators and miscellaneous trucks and heavy equipment trailers notwithstanding, more equipment has been purchased and is expected to be delivered by the end of the month."

AIVN plans at the Golden Eagle also include a lab for metallurgical testing. Brandon Nash, B.SC in Geology, CEO of AIVN, stated: "The prospects at our patented property are enormous with our new development plan designed to coincide perfectly with our State of Nevada permitting process over the next six months."

Further, AIVN has decided to forgo future testing at the Nick Mine, previously announced last Friday, without securing the financing necessary to purchase Natchez Pass LLC for $7,000,000.00, in cash and stock. AIVN plans to continue its best efforts to secure the financing, but there can be no assurance AIVN will be able to finance the non-operating Nick Mine.

At present, AIVN has a robust collection of mines in various stages of development in Nevada. Golden Eagle Mines in Winnemucca, the Beatty Bullfrog Mines in Beatty, El Tule Canyon mines, the Stud and TNT mines located with the Capatola and Indian Mines in Hawthorne, the Rabbit Hole Mine and Placeritas in Imlay, the newest additions to its collection are the American Metallic Mine in Goldfield and the North Star Mine in Tonopah, Nevada. AIVN's other mines are the Bruner, in Nye County optioned to Patriot Gold until 2016, in addition to the Gypsy and Hot Springs, in Douglas County optioned to SWT Gold until 2014. AIVN recently paid all the property taxes on its patented claims and assessment fees to the BLM on its unpatented claims for 2013.
