Akkadian Labs Launches SMB Promo-Pack for Cisco's Business Edition Series

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 7, 2015) - Akkadian Labs announced the availability of akkadian Provisioning Manager Express (aPME) for Cisco's Business Edition Series and an associated promotional package. This software offering will greatly simplify the process of provisioning users and devices for companies using Cisco's Business Edition systems.

The Cisco Business Edition Series provides sophisticated communication features like Instant Messaging & Presence (IM&P), and video conferencing in a platform designed for small and medium sized companies that might not otherwise have the manpower or budget for such systems. The aPME promo-pack makes the Cisco Business Edition Series even more attractive to smaller IT departments as it makes managing users and devices within the system easier, while offering promotional pricing.

Without a software solution such as aPME, provisioning new users or setting-up devices such as mobile and desktop phones, as well as applications like Jabber, is a complex process often performed by a Cisco certified engineer or the company's most experienced IT professional. But, aPME takes these time-consuming tasks off their plates.

"aPME complements the Cisco Business Edition Series because provisioning in the Cisco Collaboration environment requires a lot of know-how, experience and concentration. Without all three, mistakes can be made that may be costly to a company's bottom line," said Kris Zimmerman, EVP of Global Sales, Akkadian Labs.

Benefits of akkadian Provisioning Manager Express for Cisco's Business Edition Series:

  • Saves Money: Help-desk level employees may now take over the provisioning function, minimizing the need for more expensive resources to complete these tasks.
  • Saves Time: aPME utilizes templates, eliminating repetitive work.
  • Decreases Error Frequency: Templates create consistency within the environment and reduces the likelihood of human error.
  • Improves Security: Role-based permission settings protect the server by limiting access to system-wide parameters that if changed accidently could cause outages.
  • Improves Adoption of Features: "Single pane of glass" provisioning makes it easy to deploy all features, improving overall adoption.
