Akorri Appoints VPs for Channel Sales and Marketing and Product Management

Bob Fusaro Joins as VP of Channel Sales to Expand Akorri Partner Network; Steve Ricketts Joins as VP of Marketing and Product Management to Increase Akorri's Market Leadership

LITTLETON, MA--(Marketwire - May 13, 2008) - Akorri, Inc., the leader in cross-domain performance management for the virtualized data center, today announced that it has appointed Bob Fusaro as Vice President of Channel Sales, and Steve Ricketts as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. In their respective positions, Fusaro is responsible for planning, building and growing Akorri's partner network, and Ricketts is chartered to increase the scope of Akorri's marketing programs and extend Akorri's leadership position in the rapidly emerging Virtualization Performance Management market.

Fusaro brings over 25 years of sales and business development experience primarily in the software and professional services industries. Most recently, Fusaro served as Business Development Director for The Soma Group, a professional software consulting firm, where he defined, established and sold IT contract services.

Prior to The Soma Group, Fusaro spent over ten years in various positions at EMC Corporation, the world leader in information infrastructure solutions. Most recently he was Director of Software Business Development, where he identified and closed business opportunities with major strategic partners. While at EMC, Fusaro also served as Director of Software Product Marketing managing a portfolio of software products generating over $250 Million in annual revenue, and as Regional Manager of Professional Services where he was responsible for managing all sales, contract negotiating, pricing, services delivery, and business activities within the New England and Eastern Canadian regions. Before his years at EMC, Fusaro held various positions at DMR Group, PTECH Inc., and Bachman Information Systems.

Ricketts brings 24 years of sales and marketing experience within high growth technology companies to Akorri. In his most recent role, Ricketts was Program Director, WebSphere Portal at IBM Corporation -- a role he took on after IBM purchased Bowstreet, where he was serving as Vice President of Marketing. At IBM, Ricketts secured recognition for the company as the top rated Enterprise Portal vendor in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. At Bowstreet, Ricketts formulated an expansion strategy that transformed the company from a "tools" vendor to the leader in portal-based composite applications.

Prior to this, Ricketts was Vice President of Marketing at Emptoris, the leader in Web-based strategic sourcing and contract management solutions for Global 2000 companies, where he was able to recruit a world-class marketing team and grow the company from no revenue to a $40 Million run rate over a four-year period. Ricketts was also a Co-founder and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at ScanSoft (now Nuance), the leading provider of speech and imaging solutions, where he played a key role in taking the company public and launched several award winning products. Ricketts also held marketing and sales positions at Xerox and Nortel.
