Alabama Graphite Receives Positive Assay Results from Trenching at its Bama Mine Project in Alabama, USA

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - April 7, 2015) - Alabama Graphite Corp. ("Alabama Graphite" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ALP)(OTCQX:ABGPF)(FRANKFURT:1AG)(WKN:A1J35M)(ISIN# CA0102931080) is pleased to announce that it has received final assay results from a trenching program conducted at its Bama Mine Project in early 2015. The results identified new targets in close proximity to the historic Bama Mine with a number of sections averaging over 3% C(g).

The purpose of the trenching was both to further evaluate areas adjacent to the historic mine as well as to test new areas where airborne geophysical anomalies and/or surface channel sampling has identified prospective targets. Bulk samples were also collected for future metallurgical testing.

Trenching has proven to be the most cost-effective means of exploration given the soft and near-surface nature of the graphite mineralization in Alabama. Trenching was performed by a contractor using an excavator with all sampling and logging being conducted by Alabama Graphite personnel. Assay work was conducted by ActLabs of Ancaster, Ontario. Samples were collected on five-foot intervals with the majority of the trenches cut perpendicular to the strike of foliation. In keeping with the Company's environmental commitment, trenches are backfilled and reclaimed after sampling.

Significant results of trenches is presented in the table below:

"We emphasize that all of the results presented are from soft, oxidized material which differentiates the Alabama graphite deposits relative to other flake graphite occurrences in North America. The Bama Mine is of significant interest as both historical records and our own metallurgical testing indicates a very high proportion of coarse flake graphite," states Ron Roda, President and CEO of Alabama Graphite. "Our test results suggest that there is the potential to develop another resource in close proximity to the former mine.

The Company is preparing composite samples for metallurgical testing from some of the key trench intercepts as the next step in the exploration process for the Bama Mine Project.

About Alabama Graphite

Alabama Graphite Corp.'s mission is to become one of the greenest graphite producers in the world. The Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Alabama Graphite Company Inc., is conducting exploration and development both at its flagship Coosa Graphite Project in Coosa County, Alabama, USA and the recently acquired Bama project in Chilton County, Alabama, USA. These two advanced-stage projects are 100% owned by Alabama Graphite and are on private land. The two projects encompass over 43,000 acres and are located in an area with significant historical production of crystalline flake graphite. The Company has the largest NI 43-101 indicated flake graphite resource in the United States based on drilling 0.18 square miles (0.3% of the total acreage). The Alabama deposits are unique in that a significant portion of the graphite-bearing material is oxidized and has been broken down into an extremely soft rock. Both projects have in place critical infrastructure, are within close proximity to transportation routes and enjoy a hospitable climate allowing for year-round production and delivery.
