Alamos Gold Inc. Grants Stock Options

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 16, 2007) - Alamos Gold Inc. (TSX:AGI) ("Alamos" or the "Company") announces it has granted stock options under its Stock Option Plan to directors, officers and employees to purchase up to a total of 1,990,000 shares in the capital of the Company at a price of $7.29 per share. Options granted to directors and officers are exercisable for a five year period and those granted to employees are exercisable for a three year period. All options are subject to certain vesting provisions.

Alamos common shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "AGI" and convertible debentures under the symbol "AGI.DB".
