Alaska Pacific Energy Hires VP of Exploration

CARLSBAD CA--(Marketwire - December 10, 2010) - ALASKA PACIFIC ENERGY "APEC" (OTCBB: ASKE) is pleased to announce that Allan J. Beaton will be joining the team at Alaska Pacific. Mr. Beaton, P.Eng, is a senior Mining Engineer with 35 years of professional mining experience in both large and small operations.

As Vice President of Exploration, Allan will be in charge of reviewing all projects presented to Alaska Pacific and to complete a detailed due diligence process to ensure that all projects live up to expectations from the beginning. When a project is up for review, it can often come with a long and detailed historical record. It is important that these records and documents be surveyed by a qualified mining engineer. Mr. Beaton will also be in charge of reviewing and producing all information needed to produce 43-101 documentation for all properties being developed by the company.

Allan became a member of the Association of Professional Engineers in 1975 after graduating from St. Francis Xavier University with degrees in Geology and Engineering. Mr. Beaton has vast experience in underground operations including 7 years as mine manager of Erickson Gold Mines. He also served as President and Director of CanAfrican Metals and Mining Corp, a TSX-V company. Mr. Beaton is currently President of A.J. Beaton Mining Ltd. and Vicore Mining Developments Ltd.
