Alaska Pacific in Talks to Develop Mining Project in Tanzania

CARLSBAD CA--(Marketwire - December 8, 2010) - ALASKA PACIFIC ENERGY "APEC" (OTCBB: ASKE) is pleased to announce that APEC is now negotiating to purchase certain rights and options for a large property in Tanzania, measuring 30 kilometers by 30 kilometers. It is located in a very well known mining territory adjacent to mining areas already in production. This area meets the company's requirements due to its ease of maintaining compliance, easy access and much lower cost of operations compared to North America.

Tanzania has become one of the fastest-emerging gold producers in Africa, and is now the continent's third-largest gold-producing country after South Africa and Ghana. Alaska Pacific looks forward to announcing more specific details shortly.
