Alberta Energy Minister Frank Oberle To Speak at Canadian Solar Industry Solar West Conference

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Sept. 25, 2014) - The stage is set for the Canadian Solar Industry Association's (CanSIA) 5th annual Solar West Conference in Calgary Alberta October 1 - 2. The largest and most influential solar industry event in Western Canada, the two-day conference will feature the most current solar energy insights and perspectives and includes presentations from international and domestic solar experts and industry leaders.

The highlight of this year's conference will be the participation of The Honourable Frank Oberle, Minister of Energy and MLA for Peace River who will speak to the future of alternative and renewable energy in Alberta.

Conference participants will also hear from Elizabeth Doris, Senior Project Leader, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, US Department of Energy on U.S. best practices, and from Chief James R. Marsden, Alderville First Nations on collaboration and partnership during the development of Canada's first solar farm fully owned by first nations.
