Alberta Energy Regulator Calgary Head Office Closed Due to Calgary Floods


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 21, 2013) - Due to evacuations in the Calgary downtown as a result of flooding concerns, the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) Calgary Head Office will be closed on Friday, June 21, 2013.

Incident reporting, response, and monitoring and emergency response capabilities are not impacted by this outage. The AER continues to carry out field surveillance activities including inspections, monitoring, and responding to Albertan's concerns.

All production systems continue to operate. All remaining AER locations are open.

Energy and environment-related incidents and emergencies should be reported to the 24-hour response line at 1-800-222-6514. Compliance officers who answer the 24-hour line are trained to assess the situation and will ensure that the appropriate agencies are contacted and emergency responders dispatched if necessary.
