Alberta Snowboarding Association: Slopestyle Double Header at Sunshine Village

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Feb. 26, 2015) -

Alberta Snowboarding is putting on a doubleheader weekend, this time at Sunshine Village with two separate slopestyle events. On Saturday February 28th Southern Alberta Series IV takes place. There are more than 30 athletes from across the province, including Calgary, Cochrane, Banff, Canmore, Airdrie, De Winton, Redcliff and Medicine Hat. The event is sponsored by Mission Snow & Skate, with two locations in Calgary. The event takes place at the Rogers Terrain Park and competitors will show their best tricks in a best of 3 run format.

On March 1st Alberta Snowboarding is hosting the FIS/TTR Slopestyle Event II, this second stop has athletes aged 13 years and over that are preparing for the Provincial and National Championships later in the month. There are more than 40 competitors entered in the event, with athletes from Calgary, Canmore, Banff, Edmonton and an athlete from Japan.
