Alberta Snowboarding Double Header Weekend With Slopestyle Events in Grande Prairie & Red Deer!

This weekend the Alberta Snowboarding Association will host two slopestyle events across the province. On Saturday January 17, the ASA in partnership with the Nitehawk Snowboard Club, will host the first of three stops in the Northern Alberta Series. The event is being held at the Nitehawk Recreation Area and is sponsored by local board shop, S3 Boardshop in Grande Prairie. Athletes from Grande Prairie, Jasper, Hinton and other communities across the Northern Alberta are taking part in the event.

The next day, on Sunday January 18, the Alberta Snowboarding Association has its second stop in the Southern Alberta Series in Red Deer. The event is hosted at the Canyon Ski Resort, which is the host resort for the 2019 Canada Winter Games, and is sponsored by local boardshop Nomads of Sylvan Lake. Riders registered for the event are coming from Calgary, Cochrane, Canmore, Leduc, Edmonton, Red Deer and Medicine Hat.

In both events athletes collect points towards the provincial and national ranking.
