Aldershot Resources Ltd.: Yuinmery Airborne Survey Completed and Final Results Received

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 31, 2006) - Jeremy Caddy, President of Aldershot Resources Ltd. ("Aldershot" and the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ALZ), is pleased to announce the final results have now been received for the Yuinmery airborne radiometric-magnetic survey undertaken in August. The Yuinmery Project is located 480 kilometres northeast of Perth and 65 kilometres south of Sandstone in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The survey completely covers Aldershot's 100% owned claim area.

Fugro Airborne Surveys Pty Ltd., the successful contractor, flew the 1,629 line-km survey in August and the final results were received in October. Initial results have identified two significant uranium anomalies within Lake Noondie and a third zone of uranium anomalism to the north of Lake Noondie.

The first, extending east-west along the northern edge of Lake Noondie has been partially drill tested by previous explorers where a resource of 1.58 million tonnes U3O8 averaging 0.037% U3O8 at a 0.025% U3O8 cut-off has been reported. The values stated yield 1,288,000 lbs of contained U3O8. This resource is derived from historical data (Pickaxe Pty Ltd 1998, open file report A55800). The airborne radiometric anomaly associated with this mineralisation extends for approximately 1400m beyond the eastern end of the resource and two shallow holes in the area returned assays of 271 and 141 ppm U3O8.

The second anomaly approximately 4.5km to the southwest of the known mineralisation is 800m by 600m and has not been drill tested. Historical assay results from a nearby pit returned up to 360 ppm U3O8 while additional pit samples 200m south returned up to 420 ppm U3O8.

The third zone, 2.5kms to the north and sub-parallel to the known mineralisation, has a 4.5km east west extension. The area is essentially untested with only minor previous drilling which returned up to 141 ppm U3O8.

Aldershot's consultant geophysicist is currently interpreting the survey results to define additional areas for ground testing. Both near-surface mineralisation and potential structure related palaeochannels at depth beneath the lake sediments are being assessed.

The initial drilling program to confirm the resource, will commence once the necessary clearances have been obtained. The project area is on a registered aboriginal site and approvals are required to allow work on the site. The initial archaeological and ethnographic surveys have been completed and submissions are being prepared.
