Alexium International Group Limited (Alexium) (ASX: AJX) (OTCQX: AXXIY) is pleased to confirm Alexium is on pace for new business with Murdock Webbing for military-related strapping technology. The Alexium chemistry is part of a new program launched by Murdock in late 2015. The improved performance for the new strapping technology is based on Alexium 's fire retardant chemistry; therefore, Alexium fire retardants have enabled Murdock to differentiate themselves from the competition with superior burn results. Because of the realized success, Murdock has been marketing and promoting this new program to their customer base.

The positive feedback from this successful marketing campaign was shared with Alexium last month by Murdock leadership at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Subsequent to the SHOT Show, a conference call was held yesterday (March 1, 2016) with VP of Sales Steve Gravlee and Murdock leadership. The conclusion of the call was that Murdock is building a new business program and is currently securing new orders, which will result in new business in the near-term for Alexium.

This extension of work creates a larger military footprint for Alexium.

"I am very excited with our relationship with Murdock. Both companies are building a great partnership which are mutually beneficial, while providing a great product from both Murdock and Alexium for our fighting men and women with the US Military," said Nicholas Clark, CEO of Alexium. "We are cognizant of Murdock's privacy towards posting figures based on the Contract. Needless to say, this contributes to our December reported end of year results, while maintaining Alexium's margin position."

"This new business with Murdock (seen in the near-term) will go towards our forecast for 2016," stated Steve Gravlee, VP of Alexium Sales. Steve further added, "The extension to the current business with Murdock -- along with our other clients -- has the potential to exceed our December reported target."

About Murdock Webbing - Central Falls, Rhode Island:
www.murdockwebbing.com
Since 1792, when Samuel Slater established the first American textile mill in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, this area has had a rich tradition in the textile industry. The same spirit of innovation that inspired Slater to develop manufacturing techniques for spinning yarn is carried on today at Murdock Webbing Co., Inc. Founded in January of 1936 by M.I.T. graduate Frederick Murdock, just a few miles from Slater's original mill, Murdock Webbing began with 10 employees and two looms weaving Venetian blind tape. As WWII erupted, the industrial base began to gather even more momentum and Murdock Webbing played an active role in producing cotton webbings for the war effort while at the same time helping to introduce synthetic fibers into the narrow fabrics industry.
