Algae BioFuels Meetings Set With Alabama Officials

PHOENIX, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 20, 2007 -- PetroSun, Incorporated (PINKSHEETS: PSUD) announced today that Algae BioFuels, Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary, has confirmed a series of meetings on February 27th and 28th with state officials in Montgomery, Alabama. The Department of Economic and Community Affairs, Department of Agriculture and Industry, Development Office and Auburn University will take part in these meetings that will address among other topics the site selection for algaeculture field trials conducted by the Company.

Independent studies have demonstrated that algae is capable of producing 2,000 plus gallons of biofuel per acre annually as compared to 40 gallons per acre for soybeans. The algae biomass material could potentially supply an annual rate of 100,000 pounds of animal feed per acre with a 50% protein content.

The consumption rate of diesel fuel in the United States for on-highway use is 39 billion gallons per year and increasing over 3% annually. This represents 22% by sales and volume of the total U.S. transportation fuel market. The cost of diesel fuel has increased dramatically the past few years as a result of higher crude oil prices and refining costs due to the Ultra Low Sulfur diesel laws. Algae-based biodiesel contains no sulfur, is non-toxic, highly biodegradable and is not subject to commodity risk as is crude oil, corn and soybeans.
