PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - May 15, 2014) - American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (ALI CLE) is pleased to announce its upcoming program, Commercial Real Estate Financing: Structuring and Documenting Transactions in a Reviving Market. This event will be held twice, once on the East Coast and once on the West Coast. Attendees can choose to register for either the Philadelphia Event held at the ALI Conference Center on June 12-13, 2014 in Philadelphia, PA; or the San Francisco Event held at the Bar Association of San Francisco Conference Center on June 19-20, 2014 in San Francisco, CA.
As the real estate market continues its recovery, new construction and development has increased. This course is essential for the commercial real estate practitioner because it analyzes recent and future trends in real estate financing -- trends that can make or break a real estate practice. The course is refreshed every year to address issues created by the ever-changing real estate market.
This intensive two-day program comprises more than 12 hours of instruction, including one hour of ethics, commentary about recent and future trends, strategies for dealing with distressed properties, forms and agreements used by faculty members in their practices and multiple networking opportunities.
Michael D. Hamilton joins Richard R. Goldberg and Andrea M. Mattei as a third co-chair of the course this year. Mr. Hamilton is a partner with DLA Piper LLP (US) in Los Angeles. He has represented borrowers in more than 100 loan transactions aggregating in excess of $30 billion.
"This course is unique because of the panel approach we employ throughout the program. Each topic is addressed by a panel of faculty, all of whom are experienced practitioners, but with varied backgrounds," explains co-chair Michael Hamilton. "The faculty members have vast experience with very sophisticated real estate transactions," Mr. Hamilton says, "but their focus throughout the program is on issues useful to a broad range of practitioners."
