Online PC Gaming Tournament Features $1,500 in Cash Prizes
SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - December 20, 2010) - Alienware Arena revealed today the NVIDIA Call of Duty: Black Ops Launch Tournament, the latest event in an ongoing community series presented by GPU computing leader, NVIDIA, and Alienware™, Dell's premier PC gaming brand representing premium power and performance for gamers and technology enthusiasts alike.
PC gamers from across the United States and Canada will form teams and be tasked with completing secret operations starting January 17th, 2011 using the hit title Call of Duty: Black Ops. Gamers will be able to engage from participating LAN centers nationwide in a special LAN Division or from anywhere in an Online Division.
Success in battle will demand a broad range of tactics as teams take on missions spanning four modes: Search & Destroy, Capture the Flag, Demolition and Domination. The winners will reap cash rewards totaling $1,500 in all.
