Ray "Bones" Rodriguez and Christian Hosoi will join current Alkame Water sponsored former female world champion skateboarder Julie "Julz Lynn" Kindstrand to represent the Alkame Water brand within the skateboarding community across all media including television, radio, online, and in print.

From the earliest beginnings of modern skate/surf culture, Ray "Bones" Rodriguez has been at the forefront of competition and skateboard design. In 1976, he joined Powell and then Peralta to form what would soon become known as the Bones Brigade, one of the first and most influential sponsored pro skate teams of all time. The appeal of Ray's smooth surf style and the success of other pro Bones Brigade riders such as Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Lance Mountain, Tommy Guerrero, Steve Caballero, and Mike McGill helped to build an industry around the popular pastime of skateboarding and paved the way for every generation of rider to follow. Today, original Powell Peralta Ray "Bones" Rodriguez 1980 vintage skateboards are among the most sought after pieces of skateboarding memorabilia in the world.

The eventual Hall of Fame skateboarding legend, Christian Hosoi was destined to become an icon of the sport after his father, Ivan "Pops" Hosoi, became the manager of the infamous Marina Del Rey Skatepark located in the "Dogtown" area near Santa Monica and Venice Beach in West Los Angeles. After quitting school to ride full time at age 12, Hosoi joined the legendary Dogtown Skateboards team and turned pro at the age of 14 in 1981 with Sims Skateboards. Christian emerged as one of the top competitors of vertical riding, eventually developing a global rivalry with Tony Hawk. Hosoi was renowned for his flair and pulling huge aerials; at one point holding the world record. 

After leaving professional skateboarding in the early 90s, Hosoi resumed his skateboarding dominance in 2008, recently winning gold medals at both the 2009 and 2010 X Games Skateboard Park Legends contests. Hosoi, based out of Huntington Beach, California, is now an ordained Christian pastor, an accomplished author, film maker, and owner of Hosoi Skateboards. In 2006, Hosoi was the subject of the documentary film, Rising Son - The Legend of Skateboarder Christian Hosoi, narrated by Academy Award nominated Dennis Hopper. In 2011, Transworld Skateboarding named Christian Hosoi #4 on their list of the 30 Most Influential Skaters of All Time. In 2013, Christian Hosoi was inducted into the International Skateboarding Hall of Fame.
