Alkame Water Reports Preliminary Results Showing Athlete Performance and Recovery Boost in Muscle Recovery Research Study

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Nov 12, 2014) - Alkame Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: ALKM), a health and technology holding company with a focus on patentable, innovative, and eco-friendly consumer products, is pleased to report positive preliminary results from the ongoing Muscle Recovery Research Study utilizing its patented and proprietary micro-clustered, alkaline, antioxidant, and oxygenated bottled water. 

The double-blind Muscle Recovery Research Study (Alkame vs. Tap water) is currently being conducted in partnership with several leading professional Mixed Martial Arts groups and has been designed to provide further real world data and documentation of the sports performance and recovery benefits of drinking Alkame Water. The study consist of monitoring of several key athletic performance and recovery factors directly after aerobic and anaerobic exercise, including lactic acid and urine pH levels, heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure. The Muscle Recovery Research Study has been developed and overseen by the Alkame Science and Technology Advisory Group, consisting of Tammy Schaible Miller, Dr. Pietro Baio, and Andrea Visak.

Phil Daru, Head Strength Conditioning Coach and Owner of Daru Fitness Performance, reported, "The results of the test show that Group A actually showed signs of improvement in lactate level threshold meaning they would have been able to do work longer at a constant rate rather than Group B where I saw a decline in work capacity after the 3rd day of testing. Also Group A had a noticeably slower heart rate reserve meaning that their heart rate was more stable after higher intensity then that of Group B. From the results of the test, I am certain that Alkame Water aided performance in my athletes tremendously."
