All Weather Windows Proudly Supports the Salvation Army Santa Shuffle

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 19, 2011) - On Saturday, December 3rd, The Salvation Army Santa Shuffle and Elf Walk took place across Canada and All Weather Windows was proud to be the National Presenting Sponsor. While donations are still coming in, The Salvation Army is hopeful that it will exceed $500,000.

All Weather Windows, Canada's largest independent window and door manufacturer, is committed to community involvement. This is the second year that All Weather Windows has participated in this event as the National Presenting Sponsor. Our goal is to raise $100,000 per year for the charity and this year, the result exceeded expectations as All Weather Windows collectively donated $112,000. Over 530 employees and their families participated by donating funds and joining in the fantastic event by walking or running.

CEO Gord Wiebe believes that the partnership with The Salvation Army is an excellent illustration of the positive values that the company deems important, as this is an opportunity to give back and assist those in need. "This is the second year of a three year partnership with The Salvation Army and we are proud to be the National Presenting Sponsor. With the support of our employees, customers, partners and friends, we have donated money and time to this worthwhile cause. All Weather Windows is focused on excellence and customer satisfaction, so exceeding our fundraising goal is a great accomplishment. The work of The Salvation Army improves the lives of individuals, one at a time. Our company values are closely aligned with this mission of excellence in service."

In Edmonton, close to 200 All Weather Windows employees, family and friends gathered in a delightful snowfall for the 5 kilometer Santa Shuffle and 1 kilometer Elf Walk. Similar events took place at branches in Calgary, Lethbridge, Kelowna, Halifax, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Mississauga and Abbotsford.

The event started in 1990 in Edmonton as a local Salvation Army fundraiser and has since expanded to 39 communities across the country. Each participant collects pledges prior to the event to raise funds in support of services such as Christmas hampers and gifts, year-round food banks, family counseling, addiction recovery and support, hospice care and emergency/disaster service and support.

All Weather Windows would like to thank those individuals and companies that donated to The Salvation Army Santa Shuffle. Without your support, the goal of raising $100,000 would not have been realized. We appreciate your efforts and invite you to shuffle alongside us at the event next year.
