Allgress to Provide Free Licenses of Vulnerability Analysis Module (VAM) to Qualys Customers

Integration With QualysGuard Security-as-a-Service Platform Offers Extended Reporting and Analytic Features for Security and Compliance Initiatives

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 29, 2011) - Allgress, a provider of IT security solutions to companies challenged by complex security and regulatory environments, and Qualys®, Inc., the leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) IT security risk and compliance management solutions, today announced at the Qualys Security Conference 2011 (#qsc2011), an exclusive offer to provide a free license of Allgress' Vulnerability Analysis Module (VAM) for QualysGuard customers. VAM provides QualysGuard® users extended reporting, analytics, and mitigation workflow. Customers who currently use third party reporting tools can use VAM to import QualysGuard scan data into a central repository, where they can then generate graphical reports and analysis based on security risk and business context of IT assets within the enterprise.

QualysGuard is the most widely deployed on demand security solution in the world, used by more than 5,000 organizations, including some of the largest global enterprises. With QualysGuard's SaaS architecture, users can access and manage enterprise IT security and compliance from any web browser. Now customers can use the free VAM module from Allgress to integrate with QualysGuard, eliminating the use of spreadsheets and reducing time spent analyzing and prioritizing vulnerabilities.

"Allgress is an excellent complement to our QualysGuard environment, greatly extending our analytic and risk intelligence capabilities," said Dave Cullinane, chief information security officer for eBay.

The Allgress VAM Module helps eBay to deliver custom analysis and reports based on QualysGuard scan data. This makes it easier for eBay's security staff to help its managers to quickly take action that mitigates possible threats.

"We have been working closely with Allgress -- whose focus is helping companies remove the complexity and challenges of IT security -- to provide this free module to our customers," said Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO for Qualys. "This integration will provide QualysGuard customers with a snapshot view of threats, helping them efficiently prioritize efforts to successfully mitigate risk."

"Thousands of companies all over the world rely on QualysGuard and its innovative SaaS approach for accurate, easy-to-use IT security and compliance services," said Jeff Bennett, president for Allgress. "We are pleased to leverage this powerful platform to deliver actionable reports and analysis to joint customers."
