Allianz Global Assistance Wins Five National Travel Industry Awards

RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwired - September 18, 2013) - Adding to its cache of travel industry trophies, Allianz Global Assistance USA has won five Magellan Awards from Travel Weekly, the travel industry's most influential national trade publication. The company won two gold and three silver trophies for its accomplishments in travel insurance products, technology and marketing.

The company received a gold trophy for its innovative new TravelSmart mobile app, which was launched earlier this year and connects travelers to 2,000 approved hospitals in 129 countries. The company also received recognition for its travel insurance products, for enhancements to its simple-to-file claims process and for videos that explain the benefits of travel insurance.
