Education and certification of Company Police Officers includes specialized law enforcement training approved by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. AlliedBarton's dedicated Company Police force offers high level customer service and dedicated attention through officers who are stationed on site daily.
Chief Qualkenbush, who also serves as President of the Company Police Association of North Carolina, oversees a company police force of about 45 officers. "My team provides law enforcement services to hospitals, transit systems and residential communities in North Carolina," said Qualkenbush. "Recruits to our company police program undergo rigorous screening, and we look for officers who are team players -- often coming from military or law enforcement -- and have real world experience."

"Each company police officer completes the training required by the state and becomes a company police officer once the training and corresponding testing is complete. Additionally, every new company police officer takes part in 104 hours of field training with a veteran training officer and receives AlliedBarton's basic and site-specific training for terrorism awareness, driver safety, transit-specific training, healthcare facilities and residential community education. All of my officers are fully trained and certified in First Aid, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and with Automated External Defibrillators."
