The seminar will be held from 7 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the Sheraton La Jolla Hotel - Wind & Sea Ballroom at 3299 Holiday Court in La Jolla, CA.
According to the National Institute for the Prevention of Workplace Violence, in 2009 about one out of 5.5 fatalities at work were caused by assaults and violent acts, making it the third leading cause of death for people while working. "Awareness, training and planning are three steps organizations can take to protect their most valuable assets -- their employees," explained Wayne Maxey, Commander (Retired) of the San Diego County District Attorney's Office.

The seminar will address the need to maintain an organizational and personal preparedness.
