Allstate to Appoint 20 New Allstate Agents Statewide

Insurer Offering $6,000 Award for Referring Successful New Agency Owner Candidates

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--(Marketwire - Aug 27, 2012) - Allstate Insurance Company plans to appoint 20 new agency owners in Oklahoma in the second half of 2012. The expansion effort is expected to create at least 40 new insurance jobs statewide, as new agents hire staff to support their agents.

"Adding to our agency force is influenced by the strength of the marketplace," said Brad Heggem, an Allstate new agency sales leader in Oklahoma. "We target cities and areas that show growth and increasing demand as a part of Allstate's broader strategy to expand our presence in Oklahoma."

Allstate is looking for sales-driven, customer-service oriented professionals with management experience to own* and operate the agencies. These new agency owners could generate 30-plus additional jobs in their communities across the state as they hire licensed sales staff to help them run their small businesses.

Candidates interested in becoming an Allstate agency owner need a minimum of $50,000 of liquid capital to invest in their agency. This money does not go to Allstate; it's to help ensure the agency can successfully fund the normal day-to-day costs associated with opening and running a business.

"The advantage of investing in an Allstate agency is that agency owners can leverage one of Oklahoma's most recognized brands without ever having to pay a franchise or licensing fee," said Heggem. "The capital invested in the business will go directly toward the success of that agency."
