Alma Resources Sees up to 507 g/t Silver in Recent Samples From Underground Workings at Barreteros Property, Sinaloa State, Mexico

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 13, 2007) - Alma Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:ALV) (FRANKFURT:W2U) (WKN:A0HM01) ("Alma" or "the Company") is pleased to announce results from recent sampling that is part of an extensive surface and underground sampling program at its Barreteros property, located near the town of Cosala in Mexico's Sinaloa State.

The program includes mapping and sampling several surface showings and historic underground workings. Recent work has been focused on the core zone of historic workings, as identified through the initial reconnaissance and soil geochemistry program at the property. Over the past several months, during construction of the drill access road which was completed last month (news release dated February 6, 2007), Alma's field crews have opened access to several historic shafts and mapped and sampled the underground workings within the core zone at the Barreteros property. Several other historic workings in this zone have yet to be mapped and sampled. Results for chip samples from the Lumbrera II, Veta II and Cata Plutarco workings are presented in Table 1.

(1) - Chip samples were collected across intervals of approximately 1 metre.

"These sample results are very encouraging, as they show that historic mining at the Barreteros property was focused on silver grades that are exciting within the context of the current silver market," said Jag Bal, Alma Resources' President and Director.

Continued reconnaissance and mapping of the area surrounding this core zone identified four additional zones that will be investigated in greater detail as the current exploration program progresses.

The first new zone, Cata Capule, is located approximately 330 metres East of the Lumbrera II shaft (69+50N/52+75E). The zone includes three shafts and chip samples along intervals of approximately 1 metre contained zinc in concentrations of 1.1% in skarn (, 2.72% in a mineralized vein in the central of the three shafts, and 5.47% in an epidote skarn.

The second new zone, 1,670 metres North of Lumbrera II (86+00N/46+00E), contains a shaft within an area that produced a strong max-min anomaly during the electromagnetic survey. A chip sample along an interval of approximately 1 metre from a vein within the shaft contained 2.67% zinc.

The third new zone, around the Veta Loma Bonita workings, is located approximately 225 metres West of Lumbrera II (). This zone includes a shaft and two trenches associated with two strong max-min anomalies identified during the electromagnetic survey.

The fourth new zone is located approximately 800 metres North of Lumbrera II (77+50N/46+12E). A chip sample along an interval of approximately 1 metre contained 11.66% lead, 2.62% zinc, 0.92 g/t gold, and 618 g/t silver.

Field crews continue to open access to historic workings to complete additional mapping and sampling. The collapsed main entrance to the underground workings within the core zone is currently being reopened for exploration. The continued reconnaissance of the existing underground workings will help guide the current drill program, as it progresses.

Alma's diamond drilling program for the Barreteros property commenced in February (February 6, 2007, news release). To date, three drill holes have been completed, with a fourth drill hole currently in progress. Drilling is currently focused on the core zone at the property to explore the extent of the mineralized system that was the target of the extensive historic mining
activities at the site. Drill core samples are sent to a preparatory laboratory in Hermosillo, Mexico, and are then shipped to Vancouver for analysis.

Luc Lamarche, P.Geol, is the Company's qualified person for the Barreteros project under the definition of National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Lamarche is responsible for the current exploration program and the preparation of all technical information provided in this release.
