Alma Swipe & Go Gas Bar Celebrates Grand Opening This Week

ALMA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 11, 2007) - Lowered gas prices will be a big part of the celebration for customers at the Alma Swipe & Go Grand Opening this Friday, June 15. The facility is located on County Rd. 7 just east of Alma.

Swipe & Go owners Ray and Ruth Grose, say the grand opening ceremonies will begin at 11:00 a.m. Gas prices will be reduced by 20 cents per litre so customers can economically fill up their vehicles until 7:00 p.m. that evening. A portion of the sales from the day will be donated to the local Optimists Club of which Ray Grose is a member. Wellington-Waterloo MPP Ted Arnott and Mayor, Township of Mapleton John Green are among the list of speakers coming out to show support for this new innovation in fueling.

"We are proud to be a part of this community and working with Ray and Ruth Grose who provide so much to local charities and community events," says Andrew Troyer, vice president of Energy Marketing and Operations for FS PARTNERS. "This facility will make life better for local residents and commuters because they will be able to purchase gas quickly, easily and closer to home," he adds.

The Swipe & Go gas bar is a new concept designed by FS PARTNERS that utilizes the newest technology available. It is a self-serve, remotely monitored gas bar that gives rural Ontario drivers the ability to purchase fuel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using Interac bank cards, Visa, MasterCard and Co-op Cards. In addition to providing "anytime fueling", the petroleum is environmentally friendlier, utilizing ethanol made from corn and biodiesel made from soybeans.

The facility shares the property with a historic 1902 steam engine. This site was once the Canadian National Railway Station for Alma where more than 200,000 trains passed through from 1870-1970.

FS PARTNERS is one of the largest distributors of energy products in southern and central Ontario, serving over 12,000 customers. FS PARTNERS also provides products and services in agronomy and grain marketing.
