Today, Almas Jiwani, President of UN Women National Committee Canada, recognized the incredible contribution of the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation to improving the lives of the people in Jaipur and Rajasthan, India. The Foundation, a social outreach initiative of Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur, works at a grass-roots level for sustainable empowerment, engagement, enrichment and involvement of deprived communities & sections of society.

The foundation is saving lives every day and UN Women Canada and I laud their efforts" stated Almas Jiwani, President of UN Women National Committee Canada.

"It was my distinct honor and privilege to host the dynamic and highly acclaimed Almas Jiwani and to discuss our Foundation's goal which is to improve the lives of women, making them more self-reliant, encouraging them to educate themselves, learn and participate in classes, programs and workshops in various subjects improving their skills and generating income for improved livelihoods -- changing our communities, one woman at a time. Together with Almas Jiwani and organizations like UN Women Canada, we are raising awareness and taking every step to end gender inequality and give women in every country hope for the future" said Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur, President of the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, Member of Rajasthan State Assembly, and Goodwill Ambassador of the Rajasthan State Government's Save the Girl Child campaign.
