Almas Jiwani Named naseba's Women in Leadership Ambassador to Promote Gender Diversity in Business and Leadership Roles

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES--(Marketwired - Aug. 4, 2015) - Internationally renowned humanitarian, Global Ambassador of Peace, The Audacious Catalyst and Epitome for Gender Equality and Women's Economic Empowerment, Almas Jiwani has been named Naseba's Women in Leadership (WIL) Ambassador to promote gender equality in business and leadership roles.

"I am honored to advocate for women's economic development globally as an ambassador for naseba's WIL Platform," Almas Jiwani said. "It is time the world recognized the undeniable economic benefit of women's full participation in business. This conference is an important moment to bring together hundreds of global thought leaders under the banner of women's economic empowerment."

"The forum represents an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing women in leadership and best practices from around the world to combat these outdated restrictions," Jiwani added.

The Women In Leadership Series is the most important gathering of internationally influential women ever taking place in the Middle East. Its focus is developing global gender equality by uniting influential business and thought leaders to discuss key issues surrounding women in leadership. It also serves to promote global economic development through female entrepreneurship and championing gender diversity at the business and corporate levels.

This year, the 17th edition in the series, Global WIL Economic Forum, taking place on November 2nd - 3rd 2015 in Abu Dhabi under the continued endorsement of the UAE Ministry of Economy.

Sophie Le Ray, CEO of naseba and Founder of the WIL Series noted, "We are honoured that Almas Jiwani has accepted this role of being a WIL Ambassador. Each ambassador, in their current role as global business and thought leaders, are crucial to showcasing the incredible ability of women to impact and shape the modern economy."

"When we launched the WIL Forum in 2009 in the United Arab Emirates, we wanted to create a platform for regional female leaders to network, share their experiences and help inspire the next generation of leaders. And over the last 5 years this initiative has become so much more. We are very excited to offer access to an extended network of female leaders and male champions of change whose common aims are to enrich leadership opportunities for women and promote economic growth."

"A global voice for gender equality and women's economic empowerment, we are looking forward to the knowledge and insight that Ms Jiwani will bring to the WIL Series," Le Ray added.
