Alorica Expands Footprint in El Paso; Pledges Support for Two Local Charities

Company Teams Up With El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and Rolling Thunder(R) to Empower Local Families and Veterans in Need

EL PASO, TX--(Marketwired - Apr 24, 2015) -  Alorica, in partnership with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and Rolling Thunder® New Mexico Chapter 1, today announced the launch of two local initiatives designed to support El Paso community members in need. These initiatives support Alorica's growing presence in El Paso, a region where the company plans to add 1,000 new jobs by August 2015.

"El Pasoans have always taken an interest in growing this community and helping businesses thrive. Creating more jobs and supporting local charities is our way of growing El Paso's economy and giving back to a community that contributed greatly to Alorica's success over the past twenty years," said Terri Hathaway, Site Director of Alorica's East El Paso location.

Alorica and El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank will stage a "battle of the sites" food drive at Alorica's East El Paso and West El Paso locations. The food drive kicks off April 25 and goes through Memorial Day, May 25, 2015. Alorica's east and west sites will compete to see who can raise the most food. Alorica currently employs over 2,000 residents in El Paso, and its east and west sites serve Fortune 100 companies.

To further support the El Paso community, Alorica will host a joint cookout and fundraiser on May 16 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with Rolling Thunder® New Mexico Chapter 1, a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to educating the public and increasing awareness about POW/MIA issues. Open to the public, community members can bring a canned food item to the event, apply for a job at Alorica, and receive a free lunch while learning more about Rolling Thunder®'s mission.

"Our mission to fight the hunger crisis in our region is made possible by generous partners like Alorica, who are willing to donate their time and resources to fight hunger," said Janie Sinclair, Executive Director, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank. "Last year we distributed over 9.4 million pounds of food to families and neighborhoods that needed it most. Having Alorica's partnership will help support our mission of helping more local citizens in need."

Alorica is actively seeking potential candidates local to El Paso to fill over 1,000 available positions. The company will host a career fair Saturday, April 25 at both of its El Paso sites, and will hold follow up events each Saturday through Memorial Day. Candidates are encouraged to bring a canned food item with them to donate to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank. Details on location and timing below:
