Alouettes/Damon Duval-Player of the Week: 2005 CFL Top Scorer Honoured for the First Time

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 9, 2006) - Kicker-punter Damon Duval has been named CFL Special Teams Player of the Week following a five-field goal performance in the Alouettes' 31-7 win over the Toronto Argonauts.

Good on five of six field goal attempts, Duval added 260 yards on five punts and 269 yards on four kickoffs. Seven games into the season, Duval ranks second in the CFL with 21 field goals and 87 points.

Duval led the CFL in scoring in 2005 with 191 points in 18 games. He made several key field goals throughout the 2005 playoffs, capping it off with a game-tying three-pointer to tie the score on the last play of the fourth quarter of the Grey Cup.
