The Alouettes Move to the Next Step for the Percival Molson Stadium Expansion Project

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 22, 2006) - The minimum number of required signatures to hold a referendum was not met at yesterday's register-signing held at City Hall regarding the Percival Molson Stadium expansion project. The register-signing was open to all Milton Park residents. The Alouettes will now move on to the next step in this project.

The Montreal Alouettes are pleased with the results of the register-signing. "Our project will bring unquestionable benefits for the neighbourhood and will have a major unifying effect on the entire Montreal community," said Montreal Alouettes President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Larry Smith. "Our message has been heard. In partnership with McGill University, we want to reiterate that we will respect our commitment to enhance the district's quality of life and that we will work closely with the neighbourhood committee so that the project is completed while taking residents' concerns into consideration."

Mr. Smith will be available to answer questions about this project today at 2 p.m. at the Alouettes' downtown office located at 1260 University, 1st floor.
