Alpaqua Introduces the Magnum FLX™ Enhanced Universal Magnet Plate With New Solid-Core Ring Magnet Technology

Solid-Core Ring Magnets in the 96-Well Magnum FLX Enable 4.5x Faster Nucleic Acid Isolation

BEVERLY, MA--(Marketwired - October 16, 2014) - Alpaqua Engineering, LLC, a provider of genomic tools and solutions, announces today the release of the Magnum FLX™ Enhanced Universal Magnet Plate, the most recent addition to its comprehensive line of magnet plates used in magnetic bead-based, nucleic acid isolation applications such as next generation sequencing (NGS), DNA and RNA extraction, sequencing and PCR clean up, and exome capture.

The Magnum FLX magnet plate contains new, proprietary solid-core ring magnets (patent pending) for increased speed and performance when compared with standard ring magnets. The unique geometry of the solid-core magnets facilitates rapid separation of all sample volumes and low volume nucleic acid elution. These capabilities are complemented by universal compatibility with all commonly used 96-well microplates and robotic platforms. Like all Alpaqua magnet plates, the Magnum FLX magnet plate contains integrated spring cushion technology* for improved automated pipetting consistency and sample recovery.
