Alpine Biomed Corp. Builds Product Line With Acquisition of AccuWarm™ EMG Limb Warmer System

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 26, 2005 -- Alpine Biomed Corp. has acquired all rights to the AccuWarm™ Limb Warming System for EMG studies from RJL Associates, LLP of East Lyme, CT, including manufacturing and world wide marketing and distribution.

The AccuWarm™ is the premier heating system for limb warming during electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) performed in neurodiagnostic laboratories and clinics. Limb and digit warmth is essential for collection of accurate conduction velocities, latencies, and SNAP amplitudes, which are studied for diagnosis of neurological disorders. "AccuWarm™ is the most consistent and accurate method of skin temperature maintenance during these tests; it is recommended by top facilities for use in all EMG and nerve conduction studies," Alpine Biomed President Brad Westcott said.

Manufacturing operations have transferred to Fountain Valley and Alpine Biomed is currently taking orders for the system. The company expects shipment of the product will commence in September 2005. Further information about the AccuWarm™ is available at

Alpine Biomed Corp. manufactures and distributes intelligent diagnostic tools for use in neurology, gastroenterology, and urology. The addition of the AccuWarm™ complements Alpine's current product set which includes exclusive US distribution of Medtronic's EMG/EP Neurodiagnostic equipment and accessories. RJL Associates developed and marketed the AccuWarm, establishing it as a standard in EMG testing.
