HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Feb 10, 2014) - The Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA Houston) is pleased to announce the companies, organizations and institutions voted as Best Marketers in 26 industry categories in the 2013 Marketer of the Year (MOTY) Award competition. The Best Marketer category winners were selected by chapter members and a local panel of marketing professionals from over 120 nominated companies, organizations and institutions. The chapter will honor these category winners during the March 3, 2014 awards ceremony at the Alley Theatre, with one of these category winners announced at the event as Houston's 2013 Marketer of the Year.
The keynote speaker will be David Bunch, Global VP, Marketing for Retail Shell. Bunch leads a global team in 70 countries and is responsible for the development of all the brand and communications, products, sponsorships, convenience stores and loyalty programs across Shell's 43,000 locations. He is also Chairman of Shell Brands International which oversees the development of the Shell brand globally, recognized as one of the top 75 most valuable brands worldwide. He will speak on the future of brands.
The Marketer of the Year Award is AMA Houston's annual program that honors exceptional marketing efforts by Houston-area companies, organizations and institutions. The chapter established the Marketer of the Year Award in 2005 to recognize overall marketing excellence in the greater Houston area. A panel of marketing professionals from across the nation reviews and scores information about the Best Marketer category winners' marketing programs and selects the 2013 Marketer of the Year winner.
